Theme Weeks

Fourth of July

RDC and its guests love Fourth of July! Join us July 1 to July 7 to kick off summer and celebrate Independence Day. We will have our 4th of July festivities on Tuesday, July 4. Start the day off with our annual triathlon. Bring your red, white & blue props, make a tie-dye shirt with the Rec. Staff, grab some balloons and get ready to march in our parade. The parade ends on the field where an old-fashioned picnic and games begin!

Wellness Week

July 8 – 14, will again offer massage, an abundance of yoga, and other wellness related activities.

Tennis Week

An RDC tradition, this season's Tennis Week will take place during Week #6 (July 15 - 21).

Calm Squam Week

Squam Lake takes on a different character after Labor Day. With schools back in session, most visitors have departed and boats are largely absent. RDC becomes a more peaceful place as well, as occupancy drops sharply. Those who do visit - mostly couples without children - enjoy one of the best times of the year in the Squam region, with warm days and cool nights, perfect for evening fires.

To encourage more couples to visit RDC at this special time, we will again be offering an extra incentive to spend a few days with us. In addition to our normal 20% discount at that time of year, we will make our three and four-person cottages available to couples at the two-person rate, subject to availability. This offer is good from September 3 to September 14. For the second year, we will again extend Calm Squam Weeks to the early part of the season, June 1 to June 16.

Dog Days

In 2014, RDC welcomed your four legged family members at camp. It was such a success that we plan to do it again in 2016 from September 9 to September 15. Some restrictions apply.

Please see the Dog Days Guidelines (pdf) for more information. Please sign and return the form with your reservation deposit.

If you are planning an event you simply cannot work with a better, kinder, more organized team than the one you will find at RDC. Becky Frost has an attention to detail that would make Martha Stewart proud. All the staff works so hard to help you achieve your goals, but they do it with such warmth, humor and grace–– it never feels like work at all.
